Will Jordan Buy the Bobcats?

Michael Jordan has always wanted a team. But one might ask, how would a basketball player ever manage to make such a hefty purchase with the measly salaries they receive? Teams are expensive. The Lakers are the most valuable team in terms of cash- they're worth $607 million. The Bobcats on the other hand, are cheaper but still costly at $278 million. By investing in a team, you should not expect to make much money as most of the revenue is paid away. The Bobcats have a revenue of only $96 million. Jordan would be incurring a major loss if he somehow managed to purchase the team, which is currently looking for a new owner. The current owner has apparently incurred major losses, cutting his wealth in half, Forbes says. Jordan is currently co-owner but will have to give up much more to become the majority owner. No NBA player has ever solely owned an NBA team. Will Jordan be the first?
